A Good Samaritan called
the police late Wednesday night to report what he thought was a “mass killing”
after spotting several people “lying on the ground” at a yoga class.
The class was being
held at the Seascape café inside the North Sea observatory in Chapel St.
Leonard in Lincolnshire, UK.
“If anyone heard the
mass of police sirens in Chapel St Leonards at 9:30 p.m. last night then please
be reassured,” the café said on Facebook.
“They were on their way
to the observatory after someone reported a mass killing in our building,
having seen several people laying on the floor…which actually turned out to be
the yoga class in meditation.”
“Thank you to
Lincolnshire police for their prompt response. I can’t imagine for one moment
what would have been going through their minds on the way.”
“All in all, this
situation turned out positive and we are of course grateful.”
Police confirmed the
news, revealing that a caller with “good intentions” did contact them at 8:56
p.m., concerned for people inside the building.
“Officers attended, we’re happy to report everyone was
safe and well.”
