At a golf course in British Canada Monday morning, a bear with sticky jaws seized a golf bag full of clubs off a cart and pulled the haul into the woods, startling witnesses.
Golfers shouted at the robber as it approached the empty cart parked on a route between the course and a wooded area at Westwood Plateau Golf. Video captured the moment the bear bandit snatched the bag with its jaws.
According to the video uploaded on X, previously known as Twitter, many of the golf clubs spilled out as the giant animal pulled the bag from the road, over a grassy area, and into the woods, where it vanished within bushes.
“Oh my god, holy sh-t,” yelled the owner of the golf bag as he pursued the furry burglar. “Stop it, no!”
As the bear leaped into the woods below, someone off-camera laughed and yelled, "No f-king way!"
The golfer whose bag was taken made his way over to the edge and raised his hands in the air while gazing around in shock, as shown in the video.
“She ripped my bag to shreds. I can’t f–king believe that.” he said.
In his five years of working at the course, Westwood Plateau ambassador Jeff Peterson claimed he had never seen anything like a wild bear snatch golf bags.
“We try our best to minimize all contact with members and bears,” he said. “I know they’re not going anywhere and we’re not going anywhere and we’re just going to try and make everybody live in peace together, hopefully.”
