An uninvited guest
invaded the pitch during a Mexican game between Alebrijes de Oaxaca and Dorados
de Sinaloa Wednesday.
A dog stormed onto the
pitch in the 90th minute of the game and stole the ball, and with
it, the entire show.
Stewards had a hard
time trying to catch the furry invader as it tightly held the ball in its mouth
and ran around the pitch.
Delighted spectators
chanted ‘Ole’ as players joined the chase that lasted for more than a minute.
Ultimately, the agile
pooch was caught by a player and it was lured off the pitch to allow the game
to proceed.
“Our new best friend is
fine and with us in Templo Alebrije after having debuted in @LigaMXExpansion,”
the Oaxaca team posted on X.
“Our new reinforcement
went to undergo his medical tests to be Officially loaned in the coming days.”
The game ended with Oaxaca’s victory 4-0.
