A Michigan couple is
moving out of their home after a babycam caught a ghostly figure lurking around
their daughter’s crib and scratching her face overnight.
Heather Brough said
that she first noticed deep, purple scratches on one-year-old Lily’s face
before she decided to review footage from a camera in the baby’s room to see
whether the toddler had scratched herself while sleeping.
That’s when the mother
and her boyfriend Josh Higgins discovered that the scratches were the doing of
a male, ghostly figure that walked past Lily’s crib before fading into the air.
“This is a spirit, I
don’t know what its intentions are but at this point it’s becoming physically
harmful,” Heather said.
“As soon as possible,
we’re out of here. Seeing Lily’s face with the scratches was so bizarre and
frightening. There was no explanation as to how that would have happened.”
The mother revealed
that it was not the first time she doubted something creepy was going on inside
her “haunted” residence: When home alone, she oftentimes hears stomping,
screaming and even laughing.
“There have been times
where me and my fiancé would wake up in the morning and I would hear angry male
voice – like someone had stubbed their toe.”
She continued: “If I’m
in the shower, I hear someone running up and down the steps. The first couple
of times it happened, I thought my fiancé and his brother were running up and
down the stairs for things – but when I opened the door, no one was there.”
The home was formerly owned by an elderly lady who lived there for “a very long time” with a hip injury until she was found dead at the bottom of the stairs. Her brother also died in the house years later, the couple learned.
