For some of us, this enormous 800-pound bear is nothing more than a beast, but for others, it is a sweet, gorgeous animal that shares the compassion that its human caregivers showed it. And this endearing video demonstrates what bears truly are: gentle giants.
The bear, Sonya, lost her family when she was a small cub. Thankfully, after being rescued, the animal found solace at the Orphaned Wildlife Center in Otisville, New York. She made quick friends with the workers here, but Sonya had a particular favorite. Jonathan, her human caregiver, and the bear once had a close relationship. Unfortunately, the rescuer has left the center for a variety of reasons.
It has been years since the last time Sonya and her best friend reunited. But recently Jonathan made the decision to pay her a visit and see if she was able to remember him or not.
It was an incredibly sweet moment when they finally met after a long time apart. The rescued bear remembers not just the man who used to look after her, but also the endearing game they used to play. They interact and embrace one another like two happy children. What a touching reunion!
“She not only remembered Johnathan but also remembered the game they used to play when she was small,” the man who captured the heartwarming video said.
